20 Non-Toy Gift Ideas for Babies

Babies usually get more toys than they ever get to play with. So why don’t we skip the toys this year and get them one of these instead?

Here’s a gift guide for those special little ones in your life. These are all items I’ve personally used or love and can really vouch for!

TIP: You can click on the title of each item to get redirected to their official store/website. I’ve also arranged the items according to price for easier reference. Enjoy!

1. Nature to Nurture Toothbrush + Toothpaste Set  (P179)

Let’s start with this sugar-free, SLS-free, plant based and safe for babies option.

Nature to Nurture offers both flouride-free and with flouride toothpastes. Our pediatric dentist recommended flouride toothpaste for my son and we love using this. Plus points that their flouride toothpaste gel for toddlers are flavor-free too, which discourages them from swallowing! Hehe.

Get a toothpaste and toothbrush set for your little one. Each toothpaste tube is P99 and the toothrbush is P80.

2. Control Freak Mosquito Spray Set for Babies (P250)

Give babies the gift of being able to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about pesky mosquitos!

It’s hard to find an all-natural, alcohol-free, deet-free and gentle mosquito spray that actually works but we found it in Control Freak. They have 2 sprays that are great for babies: the Control: Mosquitos Lavender and their Control: Insects Ninja spray. (Trivia: The Ninja one has chamomile that helps baby sleep better so it’s perfect for night time too!)

I’ve been using Control: Insects Ninja for our baby since he was still a few months old and we love it. We spray it before taking our morning or afternoon walks. I love how it smells really nice and not cintronella-y!

3. St. Patrick 3-pack Muslin (P348)

Are we the only ones who stock up on muslin cloths? We don’t use it as diapers but we love using them as a burp cloth, multi-purpose cover, blanket and more! We even use it as a back towel! Hehe.

We love these St. Patrick muslins because they are soft and breathable. A practical choice to give to practical mamas. I get my St. Patrick’s goodies from Mommy’s Den.

4. Little Soles Sandals (P500)

The CUTEST and most comfortable sandals we’ve owned to date are these Little Soles slip-ons. It has a very traveling hipster vibe, don’t you think? Haha.

Luke loves wearing his pair and we’re getting baby Dylan his own once he starts walking too, so that they match (we love our matchy-matchy items!) Thankfully, Little Soles has sizes for as little as 1 year olds. Yay!!

5. Marcus & Marcus Amusemat (P540)

Wanna know the trick to getting your baby to stay on the high chair for longer periods? Get them this plate, perfectly dubbed “The Amusemat.” It encourages babies to have fun while eating! I mean, who wouldn’t want a plate like this? 😀

Additional tip: Also get them the Marcus & Marcus Feeding suction bowl with lid (P540); perfect for eating out and keeping your baby’s snacks. My baby used to be so fidgety at restaurants until we discovered that he would stay put and eat on his own if we placed that bowl infront of him. Ta-da!

6. Personalized Packing Cubes (P550-P850)

If you’ve seen any of my packing posts or photos on IG, you’ll see us use these personalized clear packing cubes from Booths Republic each time we travel. I LOVE THEM. They are clear so you can see the contents and they are minimalist in design (fave!)

7. SunMum Breastmilk Travel Set (P590)

For you traveling mommies, you’ll wanna get these for yourself… and then give the output (milk!) for your babies, of course! Hehe.

Whenever I travel, whether it’s with or without my baby with me, I make sure to have my bottles and pump parts clean and sterilized using these SunMum Microwave Steam Sterilizer Bags. So convenient and practical. And whenever I have extra milk from pumping, I store them in these milk bags. Give both as a set to your favorite jetsetter momma/baby.

8. Nosh Organic Munchables: One of Everything Set (P920)

This is the perfect gift for little foodies. Nosh is delicious, healthy and organic. But the best thing about it is it dissolves quickly on the mouth, so no choking!

This is personally one of my baby’s favorites. We let him snack on Nosh wafers during long car rides and we always have a pack in our diaper bag! With no exaggeration, it has ended many meltdowns in the car and has saved us more than once! Ha! 😀

9. Bebear Stroller Pads (P1299)

Bebear Stroller Pads can be used in strollers, car seats and high chairs. It makes the seats more comfortable for your baby, since they’re soft and breathable. They come in 3 fun designs (personally LOVE the Buffy in orange! So cute!)

10. Bonjour Baby Whale Potty (P1495)

Give something cute and useful. If you know a baby who’s gonna start potty training soon, you’ll wanna gift them this adorable Whale Potty to encourage them to… do their business. 😉

11. Babysoy Lounge Sets and Zipper Footies (P1499-P1699)

One of our latest favorite discovery are these pajamas from Babysoy. Even more perfect if your baby has has siblings because they can get cute matching outfits!

Babysoy uses Azlon from soy protein fiber and organic cotton, which makes the clothes luxuriously soft and comfortable. Love that they are also eco-friendly! My kids love them and I love seeing them wear theirs because they look absolutely adorable in their twinning pj’s!

They have special gift boxes for Christmas if you plan on buying this holiday season.

12. Tiny Buds Newborn Care box(P1500)

If you’re gifting a new mom, you may consider sending a  too, which contains all the essentials such as wipes, laundry wash, bottle wash, baby wash, rash cream and other accessories! How cute are those personalized baby onesies?

We’re also fans of the Tiny Buds Rice Set so I would also recommend getting the Tiny Buds Rice Skin Care Set (P450). We’ve been using it for both my children since the first one was still a baby (that’s almost 5 years ago already!) and we still love it. Did you know that it’s the 1st baby powder made from 100% real rice grains? It’s also hypoallergenic and much better than using regular talc powder.

13. Moonlite Projector (P1799.75)

How about gifting cuddles on the bed during storytime? We LOVE our moonlite projector because it gives us an opportunity to spend quality time with the kids before bedtime! It’s also a wonderful way to encourage kids to get into reading.

Moonlite is a storybook projector you attach on your phone. You connect it on the app and voila! Read the story (complete with sound effects!) Instant magic at night.

14. Urban Walls Wall Decal (P2000-P16250)

You may not have the budget to give your favorite baby a nursery makeover but you can give the next best thing; spruce up their walls with these Urban Wall decals!

These decals are not just your regular stickers; they are long lasting (think years!) and can be easily removed without damaging the walls.

15. Finn + Emma Coverall Pajamas (P2099.75)

You can never have enough pajamas, am I right? Had to add these Finn + Emma Origami Coverall ones on the list because not only are they cute and comfy, but they are also 100% G.O.T.S. certified organic cotton. In fact, they use organic inks and dyes. Perfect for babies with moms who are particular with the items they give their babies.

We love our sets from the Origami Collection (you can see Dylan wearing his here!) And as you know, we love twinning so of course, Luke also gets his own set of pajamas. Haha.

16. Ecoboom Eco-friendly Bamboo Diapers (P2112-P2184/box)

How about gifting baby a good night’s sleep? Ha! If only it were that easy! But you can give the next best thing, a rash-free bum (which may lead to baby sleeping better and longer) with Ecoboom bamboo diapers.

These diapers are breathable, hypoallergenic, free from chlorine and biodegradable! I honestly want more of these for my baby and wouldn’t mind if everybody got these for Dylan instead of toys. Haha!

Personal testimony: Dylan always gets diaper rash from the diapers he’s been wearing since he was a newborn. I recently tried Ecoboom and what do you know, no more rashes just after our first few uses!

Prices for the boxes vary depending on the size. The size medium is P2112 for 96 pieces, large is P2160 for 90 pcs and XL is P2184 for 84 pcs. Granted, Ecoboom is priced higher than our old diaper brand. But if you count in the extra cost of having to keep changing (to avoid rash) and the ointments we need to keep buying, it just might be more worth it to get Ecoboom in the long run.

17. Incy Rooms A-Frame Clothes Hanger with Shelf Conversion (P2800)

This A-frame clothes hanger transforms into a scandi inspired shelf. Made from locally sourced sustainable wood with gently rounded edges, it doesn’t only make your nursery look stylish but it’s also a piece that will grow with your child.

The whole Andi x Olivia Collection with Incy Rooms is breathtaking and definitely worth checking out! Make sure you don’t miss the Book Bin (P1950) and M Bookshelf (P6500) to complete the look.

18. Learning Time Subscription Box (P2899/month)

Learning Time is a subscription app that you use hand-in-hand with a box of educational materials specially curated for your baby’s age. It helps the parents teach and introduce certain concepts to their baby.

We’ve been using Learning Time since Dylan was 4 months old and here’s my personal take on it: it’s honestly so nice to have materials that have been well-thought of. Each item has a specific purpose and helps in his development. And in case you were wondering, yes, the box is worth it because the items included are very good quality and will last even up to your next baby, if ever!

And if you want to give something a little extra, EXTRA special, look no further than this Aquascale Digital Scale & Thermometer 3-in-1 Infant Tub. Yep, you read that right; it’s a tub that has a digital scale and a water thermometer. There’s also no need to guess if the water is “just right,” because now you’ll know for sure! 😉

The Aquascale is also convertible, which means you’ll be able to use it from newborn all the way up to the toddler stage. So if you want a gift that will be memorable for years to come, you know what to get!
