What’s It Like to be Part of McDonald’s Kiddie Crew?

Would you believe that the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew Workshop has been around for 27 years?! That means some of you guys might even have had the chance to experience it when you were kids yourselves!

Well, Luke had his first taste of what it’s like to be a Kiddie Crew this year. Coincidentally, it is McDo’s first time to launch a themed experience too! Here’s what you can expect for 2019’s Mcdonald’s Kiddie Crew Workshop: Explorer’s Edition!

What is the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew Workshop?

The McDo Kiddie Crew Workshop happens every summer where kids are given the opportunity to experience what it’s like to “work” at McDonald’s through play-based activities. It is open for kids 6-12 years old. (If you have kids aged 4-5 and wish to enroll them, you may discuss it with the store’s Restaurant Manager.)

We were treated to a 1-day preview as part of their media launch. So even though Luke’s only 4, he was able to get a little sneak peek! Here’s a rundown of our Kiddie Crew Experience at McDonald’s Next Gen McKinley branch

Cheesburger Making Activity

We started the workshop with a burger making activity. The kids were given the bread, patty, cheese and condiments and it was up to them to create their own mac-sterpiece! (Hehe couldn’t help it with the pun, sorry!)

And look at kuya’s nameplate! Hehehe. 😀 Thanks Kuya Mac for helping Luke!

There was a guide provided. But let’s face it; none of the younger kids wanted to look at the guide! Haha.

Hands-on experiences are always the best!

He was even taught how to wrap his burger the right way! Good job, Luke! I think he was looking forward to eating it more though!

Serving as a Cashier

Up next we had cashier duties! They really helped punch the order for the next customer! Thank you, customer, for being patient with the kids!

I was just relieved Luke listened and didn’t randomly punch buttons. Haha!

Drive-Thru Experience

And the part Luke was looking forward to experiencing the most was the drive-thru! He was assigned at the window that hands customers their orders.

Look at Luke being super game, calling out for the next car to come over! 😀

Thank you again to all the patient customers. Thank you for allowing me and fellow blogger moms to run around the drive-thru area just to take photos of the kids. Haha!

Graduation!

At the end of the experience, Luke got a certificate and was happy to pose with Ronald McDonald!

Overall Experience:

There are so many things I liked about the whole experience! Here are some of the great things about being part of the McDo Kiddie Crew Workshop:
